| The thing is boys and girls: this isn't the Shawshank Redemption...There's gratuitous nudity, corny dialog and not a lot of subtext. The thing is that Starship Troopers was never meant for anything like that; the setting is a sci-fi universe with much more gore, trash and nudity than would be expected. This movie is meant for the old Starship Troopers fans, those who know the movie the first for god's sake and the Roughnecks animated series; it isn't a good introduction to the setting but it wasn't meant to be. | good film.barring the first film, i would prob say this one is the best film so far.if you have not seen 2&3 don't bother, just watch this one as it is far better than them both put together.hope they will make more like this one.hopefully, if it dose well they will do reboot in this animation, so hears to a reboot.as for the animation, not as good as final fantasy but not far off.hats off to all people that made the film. |

| This has got to be the best movie made to date using CGI!The first movies were made with intentionally wooden acting, which gave them a"tongue in cheek" type of humor.This version is amazingly well acted and contains more off the cuff humor and intelligent dialog.The Sci-Fi battles are great.If you were to tell me that I would watch a CGI Movie and not turn it off,I would have called you a liar.It is even more incredible that I did not endure this movie, But genuinely liked it and wanted more at the end! |

| Lot of people won't understand much of this creation.. most punch lines, some small details, even some characters that seem forced into the film are from the old CGI starship troopers series. The way the characters look, react, talk, behave... the bugs, the ships, the continuum of the story... were all extrapolated from the old CGI series and has little to do with the few low budget movies. In the old CGI you can find Karl as a powerful psy-ops guy, Carmen as their dropship pilot, Rico rising as the leader of roughnecks.. working together, becoming friends...and so on. | I loved the first movie directed by Verhoeven . With the young cast at that time.They took all the elements of the first movie, and made it a very good animated feature ! Hope this will reboot the franchise in a good way forgetting the sequels and the bad animated series .But it is like entering in a big video game demo with non-stop action scenes.Very entertaining, popcorn in a bucket, and sit tight to watch it with friends. NOTE: not really for kids, because there are some nudity, violence and gore scenes. |

| the original Starship trooper though never achieve legendary status like Aliens or Predator, still a very good enjoyable movie. And if you like the original, You will definitely enjoy this one too. Though the Invasion is Animation, the style is photo realistic like FF the spirit within, Resident evil degeneration and so on.But despise being Animation, Its have nice suspense, and action. and like the original have lots Blood and gore. | Caught this flick late at night. Was skeptical after watching the digital trailer, but I watched anyways. As a fan of the original this is the best sequel yet, and has made me a fan of digital movies at the same time. The storytelling possibilities are endless.Back to the movie, the story was solid, the effects were a surprise, and Johnny Rico reprised is awesome.The tension was good and the dialogue was cinemaesque. They actually took care with this production and has me looking forward to not only more Starship Trooper sequels, but also viewing more digital movies as well. |
